Thanks for visiting my site! I am a landscape photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand. I was taught by my father to shoot and develop black and white photos when I was a teen. But my passion for photography started when I bought my first DSLR camera ten years ago.

I love nature photography. It brings me to beautiful places, the mountains, lakes, the coast, bush, streams, and more. I find myself the happiest when I am in the great outdoors, capturing the beauty of nature. Most of my photos were taken in New Zealand, one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

 

Dawn and dusk are my favorite times for photography. I like reflection, long-exposure, and shooting astrophotography whenever possible. It's lucky that we have one of the darkest and most transparent skies at our doorstep. Often, I go back to shoot at the same locations at different times of the day and in different seasons. Amazingly, the light change makes the same scene very different.

I shoot mostly with my Sony camera with various Sony lenses and B+W neutral density filters for long exposures. I do my post processing in Lightroom.

​My travel experience in New Zealand and the knowledge of the best landscape photography locations allow me to help photographers experience and shoot the real New Zealand, not the one you find visiting tourist spots.
